Privacy Policy and Personal Data Consent
This document explains how Creatium Pte. Ltd. processes personal data when you use https://linguateca.app/. By creating an account or using features that require personal data, you consent to the processing described here where consent is the applicable legal basis.
1. Who We Are
Creatium Pte. Ltd. provides Linguateca, an online reading service for classic texts adapted to different language levels, on the international domain. For privacy questions, contact the Provider at help@crebase.com.
Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights under local law. This Policy is intended to describe the core processing performed by the service and should be read together with the Terms of Service.
2. Information We Process
- Account data: email address, account identifier, role, membership status, purchase status, and access settings.
- Authentication data: password hash, session identifiers, security logs, and sign-in information.
- Reading data: selected works, study language, level, source unit, reading progress stored on your device, and interface preferences.
- Usage and technical data: IP address, browser, operating system, device information, cookie data, timestamps, request logs, and error diagnostics.
- Payment-related data: purchase status, price, currency, payment-provider references, refund records, and information needed to provide access. Full card data is processed by the payment provider and is not stored by the Site.
- Support data: messages, questions, feedback, and any contact details you voluntarily provide when communicating with us.
3. Why We Process Data
- to create and secure accounts;
- to provide access to free, registered-user, member, paid, or purchased content;
- to save settings, support reading flows, and improve the product;
- to process payments, refunds, subscriptions, support requests, and legal notices;
- to prevent abuse, protect infrastructure, debug errors, and maintain service security;
- to comply with legal, tax, accounting, and payment-provider obligations.
4. Processing Operations
We may collect, record, organize, store, update, retrieve, use, disclose where necessary, anonymize, block, delete, and destroy personal data. Processing may be automated or manual.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
The Site uses cookies and local storage for sign-in sessions, theme preferences, PWA behavior, local reading progress, security, diagnostics, and product operation.
You can restrict cookies in your browser settings, but some account or reading features may stop working correctly.
6. Sharing with Third Parties
We share personal data only when needed to operate the service, provide paid access, respond to support requests, protect the Site, or comply with law.
- hosting and infrastructure providers;
- payment providers and fraud-prevention services;
- email, support, analytics, logging, and diagnostics providers, if used;
- professional advisers, courts, authorities, or other recipients when legally required.
7. AI Explanation Requests
When you use the automated explanation feature, the selected text fragment, language information, level, translation hint, and nearby source context may be sent to an external LLM provider to generate an explanation.
We do not intentionally send your password, full payment information, or account email as part of the fragment explanation prompt. The generated response may be cached to reduce repeated processing.
8. International Processing
The international site may use infrastructure, service providers, and payment providers located in different countries. Where required by applicable law, transfers are handled using appropriate contractual, technical, or organizational safeguards.
9. Retention
We keep personal data for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain your account, process payments, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and protect the Site.
Some technical logs may be kept for shorter periods. Payment, tax, accounting, security, and legal records may be kept longer where required or reasonably necessary.
10. Your Choices and Rights
You may contact us at help@crebase.com to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent, or other rights available under applicable law.
We may need to verify your request and may retain data where continued processing is required or permitted by law, payment obligations, dispute resolution, or service security.
11. Security
We use technical and organizational measures intended to protect accounts and service data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should keep your password confidential and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
12. Changes
We may update this Policy as the service, providers, laws, or product features change. The current version is published on the Site.
